Crabwall Manor Hotel & Spa is an historic 17th Century Manor House. The hotel boasts of 55 well appointed rooms, as well as a Leisure Spa Swimming Pool, Steam room, Jacuzzi, and Conference facilities up to 150. Crabwall Manor are seeking an experienced Sales Manager, within the Wedding and Events industry, to join our Senior Leadership Team.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Maximise all Meeting and Events Sales revenue opportunities
- Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
- Seek new and incremental wedding & events business by being proactive and reactive in managing both the website marketing, social media platforms, Open Days, brochure design and direct enquiries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, event planners, and vendors to generate leads and secure bookings.
- Conduct detailed and organised appointments through management of email inbox and appointment diary.
- Working with couples to create, coordinate and deliver magical weddings from beginning to end.
- Conduct site tours and meetings with prospective clients to showcase our venue and discuss wedding packages and services.
- Collaborate with the events team to ensure seamless planning and execution of weddings and events, exceeding client expectations.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing packages tailored to the specific needs and preferences of each client.
- Manage the wedding sales pipeline and track sales metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Encourage the team to drive enquiry conversion and recognise opportunities to upsell to clients.
- Achieving revenue targets as agreed and set out in the budget working towards generating an overall increase in year-on-year sales.
- Engage regularly with lapsed clients, past enquiries and repeat bookers to maintain an excellent level of repeat business.
- To ensure a high quality of customer service is delivered on time and to budget, at every event leading to successful account management.
- Liaise & build good working relationships with all departments and external suppliers.
- Attend regular Business Review meetings, as required

- Excellent communication, presentation and selling skills
- Ability to effectively influence key customers / corporate contacts / agents / GM / business owners and senior management team to support the sales growth targets
- Knowledge of all market segments and sales opportunities
- Experience of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing strategies
- Strong customer relationship management skills and ability to negotiate
- Knowledge of revenue management and account profitability, and RFP systems
- Financial management skills and commercial knowledge of delivering budgeted figures
